Mera Foster

Mera Foster is a first-year Brown RISD Dual Degree student from Tacoma, WA, studying History of Art and Architecture, Economics, and Painting at RISD. She is a tremendous fan of works by Lee Krasner, Archibald Motley, Nam June Paik, and Hieronymus Bosch. Mera loves Jenny Holzer so much that she had one of her "truisms" tattooed on her arm, which she first saw at the Guggenheim in 2024. She spends most of her time creating absurd, colorful, and intricately detailed figurative oil paintings.
